How does OneTapCut work?

Pick a video of yourself talking, or tap “Record now”. OneTapCut writes down what you said, cuts out the “ums”, long pauses and restarts, and adds subtitles and a title. Then tap Share or Save.

Is it free?

Your first 2 videos are free, each up to 2 minutes. After that, OneTapCut Pro (yearly with a 7-day free trial, or monthly) gives you unlimited videos up to 30 minutes each.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions → OneTapCut → Cancel Subscription. If you cancel during the free trial, you pay nothing.

I bought Pro but the app doesn’t show it.

Open Settings in the app and tap “Restore purchases”. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy.

Does my video leave my iPhone?

No. Your video and your voice stay on your iPhone. Only the text of what you said is sent for the AI features (smart cuts, titles, subtitle corrections) and isn’t stored by us. Details in the Privacy Policy.

A subtitle word is wrong.

Open Edit video → Words, tap the word and choose Edit. Only the subtitle changes, the video stays the same. Names you add under Settings → Names & words are spelled right in new videos.

Something was cut that I want to keep.

In Edit video → Words, tap the crossed-out words and choose “Bring back”. Undo takes back every change.

The app says “We couldn’t hear you”.

OneTapCut needs a video where someone talks. If you speak another language, pick it on the next screen or under Settings → Language.

The AI features are paused today.

To protect the service, AI features can pause for the day after very heavy use. Cutting, subtitles and export keep working, and the AI features are back the next day.

Which languages work?

Many languages that Apple’s speech recognition supports on the iPhone, including English and German. The first video in a new language downloads it once.

Still stuck?
